This skiver shaves leather easily to desired thickness. Constructed with a hard black finish with comfort handle & easy-to-replace blades. 

This is great for large areas where a lot of skiving is needed. I feel this tool is easier to get the hang of than the safety beveler but lacks a little bit of the precision & versatility. In my mind this one is the truck & the other is the sports car.
