The Speedy Sticher

The Speedy Sticher can be used to sew leather or any other heavy material. This can be used with pre punched holes or by itself to create the holes. 

There are directions with pictures included in the box but here are the basics of how to use this tool to create a locking stitch. 

There is a spool in the handle that holds the thread which is then ran through the needle. When you put the needle through the first hole pull a length of thread all the way through to the other side of the leather. Moving to the next hole, push the needle all the way into the leather & then partially retract. This will create a loop in the thread between the end of the needle & the leather. Pass the loose end of the thread through that loop & then finish retracting the needle. Pulling both ends of the thread tight will create a locking stitch in the middle of your material. Move to the next hole & repeat the process.
