There is always room for improvement. There is no exception to that when it comes to tooling leather. Sometimes it can feel like you hit a wall and are having a hard time seeing improvement. You recognize the need for improvement and may even have it pin pointed as to what tools you struggle with. Yet there still seems to be something missing. This class could be that missing piece for you.
The benefit of this in person class is that I can watch and listen to you tool allowing me to pick up on small techniques that may need adjusted or added. Many times its the smallest changes that make the biggest difference. I can look at your tooled projects and give a certain amount of feedback but there is no substitute for being able to watch as you are tooling it to see the techniques you're using.
In this hands-on class you will work on mastering the fundamentals of tools including
- Swivel knife
- Bevels
- Shaders
- Backgrounders
- And other detail tools
Fundamentals are important at any stage of the game. They are important to help you start on a firm foundation and to grow your leathercraft skills to the next level. This class format allows me to teach to different skill levels with lots of one-on-one time. Each person will have a unique experience as we work on the specific areas of tooling they need to improve on.
Bring what tools you have and we can always fill in with tools here at the shop if there is something that you're missing.
You are encouraged to take lots of notes and pictures as needed. There are LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE to provide maximum one on one time and allow for all questions to be answered in depth.
